Ben joined GVNW’s Western Region office in 1990 as a Consultant/Analyst and is currently a Vice President working with client companies in Oregon, California, Nevada, Hawaii, American Samoa, Guam and Palau.

Ben graduated from Brigham Young University in 1987 and has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting with a minor in Business Fundamentals.

After graduation, he worked for the Contel Corporation in the Western Region office.  His first responsibility was as an Accountant in the General Accounting Department, where his duties included the monthly closing of books, reconciliation and financial reporting.  Later, he served as an Analyst in the Cost Development Department where he developed rates for CLASS features, Extended Area Services (EAS), Centrex and special contract pricing.  He finished his tenure at Contel as a Senior Analyst in the Budgets Department.

After coming to GVNW, Ben worked on Part 36/69 Cost Studies, EAS Studies, Special Access, CPR’s, Oregon Pool Rate Development, and many special projects. He has worked on a start-up company in Hawaii, helping develop the Business Plan, RUS Funding, Accounting Development, becoming member of NECA, and developing a Business Structure. Ben also has worked with island nations affiliated with the United States and their inclusion with NECA and Business Case Plans for them.
